Hubungan Parental Bonding dengan Father Involvement pada Ayah yang Bekerja Sebagai Pemadam Kebakaran di Kota Bukittinggi

Keterlibatan ayah (father involvement) merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam mendukung perkembangan anak secara optimal. Namun, tuntutan pekerjaan dengan risiko tinggi, seperti profesi petugas pemadam kebakaran, berpotensi memengaruhi kualitas keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara parental bonding dengan father involvement pada ayah yang bekerja sebagai petugas pemadam kebakaran di Kota Bukittinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 53 orang ayah yang bekerja sebagai petugas pemadam kebakaran di Kota Bukittinggi, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas skala Parental Bonding dan skala Father Involvement yang telah memenuhi uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan korelasi Spearman Rank. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara parental bonding dengan father involvement. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin positif pengalaman pengasuhan ayah pada masa kecilnya, semakin tinggi keterlibatannya dalam pengasuhan anak. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa pengalaman pengasuhan lintas generasi berperan dalam membentuk kualitas keterlibatan ayah pada generasi berikutnya sehingga dapat menjadi dasar dalam penyusunan program penguatan peran ayah dalam keluarga.
